What is Hijab?

Hijab is an Arabic word which means curtain or cover. This term is used in Holy Quran (Muslims holy book). It is said that Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) used to say to his wives to talk to any other men, if necessary, by standing behind the hijab. That is why hijab is referred as a cover or a divider. There can be different designs or patterns drawn on these hijabs or they can be plain as well. These hijabs are worn by folding them around by making a triangular shape and then pinning it up under the chin. These types of hijabs can be worn by the girls who have slim and long faces.
